There is a mobile food pantry truck from Feeding America in
coming to Wisconsin Rapids today, October 28th. Free food will be distributed
in the south parking lot of the United Methodist Church, 441 Garfield Street,
Wisconsin Rapids, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Registration will occur in the Maple
Street parking lot. To help avoid traffic congestion, participants are asked to
arrive according to the first letter of the driver’s last name as follows: A
through L – 1:00 to 2:30 pm, and M through Z – 2:30 to 4:00 pm.
Residents of Wood County who currently use or qualify for food assistance programs are eligible to participate. If you, or someone you know, are in need of food, please bring sturdy containers such as baskets, boxes and heavy-duty bags to carry the food in. Also, be sure to bring proof of your Wood County address, such as a recent utility bill or driver’s license.
