Wednesday, January 14 - The Friendship Connection is serving up Free Lunch Wednesday  from noon to 2 PM at their location 252 S Main Street, Adams (entrance in the back). Bring a dish or dessert if you wish. Everyone is welcome.  For more information call Deb at 608-339-6810.    

Thursday, January 15 - The Adams Community Theatre will be showing a Free Movie at 6:30 PM. This 2014  drama stars Ben Affleck and Neil Patrick Harris and is rated R. With his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent.  

Saturday, January 17 - Lake Mason Lion's Club Annual Winter Fisheree from 7 AM to 3 PM. Prizes for heaviest fish in each species, raffles, refreshments, and more. Meet at the Wagon Wheel Boat Landing. For more information call Randy at 608-253-6567 or email randysus@gmail.com

Saturday, January 17 - The Lake Sherwood Ice Fisheree will be held at Sherwood Lodge, 1146 Queens Way.  Event will be held from 9 AM to 4 PM, $10 entry fee, refreshments & prizes. Adult & kids category for 12 & under.  Call 715-325-2636 for more information.

Saturday, January 17 - The Necedah National Wildlife Refuge will hold their Can you Capture it/Focus on Photography from 10-11 AM . Free and open to the public. All skill levels welcome. For more information call 608-565-2551 or go to  fws.gov/refuge/necedah/

Saturday, January 17 - A Benefit for the Family of Patrick Stainbrook will be held from 3 to 7 PM at the Arkdale Lutheran Church. All you can eat Spaghetti Dinner with choice of sauce, salad, garlic bread, dessert and coffee/milk or water. Aduts are $8, children 4-10 $5 and under 3 free. Saturday, January 17 - The Adams Community Theatre will present their free 3rd Saturday Classic Movie starting at 7 PM at the theater (157 S Main Street, Adams). This month's feature is a recently restored version of a 1927 science fiction classic. In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a working class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences. Not for children.
  
Sunday, January 18 - Adams Community Theatre will present their monthly Play Reading Circle at 6 PM at the theatre (157 S Main Street, Adams). This month's feature is "Harvey" -  a 1945 play by Mary Chase. A man believes his best friend is a six-foot tall invisible rabbit.  

Monday, January 19 - Adams County Humane  Society is teaming up with the Spay Me Clinic to bring Low-Cost Spay and Neuter clinic for cats.  Indoor cats $65 includes spay/neuter, 1 year rabies vaccination and nail trim.  Outdoor cats $65 includes spay/neuter, 1 year rabies vaccination, flea and ear mite treatment.  Kittens must be at least 2 lbs. Other services include distemper vaccination $5, microchip $20, flea/de-wormer $15.  For more information or to get your cat(s) registered call the Adams County Humane Society at 608-339-6700.  Space is limited.

Monday, January 19 - The Friendship Connection will hold a Wellness & Recovery Support Group from 11 AM-12 PM at their location 252 S Main Street, Adams (entrance in the back). This is a casual group led by volunteers. Everyone is welcome. For more information contact

Thursday, January 22 - The Adams Community Theatre will be showing a Free Movie at 6:30 PM. This 2014  animated film stars the voice talents of Ben Kingsley and Tracey Morgan and is rated PG. A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. Based on the children's novel 'Here Be Monsters' by Alan Snow.

Saturday, January 24 - A Coyote Contest will be held at Van's Redneck Saloon, 345 County A, Oxford, WI. Cost is $10 per person and you must be pre-registered. There is 100% Payback, Guaranteed to pay largest and smallest. Must be harvested day of event, weigh in @ 7PM with snacks provided. For info call 608-697-2856. Sponsored by Van's Redneck Saloon and the Grand Marsh Coyote Hunters. 

Sunday, January 25 - St. Joseph's Catholic Church PCCW Breakfast will be held at St. Joseph's Center (151 E State St, Adams) from 8 AM to noon. 
Sunday, January 25 - Castle Rock Bassmasters Annual Fisheree will be held on Friendship Lake from 10 AM-3 PM.Door Prize drawings throughout the day! Cash Drawing at 3 PM. Food available on the ice: brats, burgers, chili, hot dogs, hot cocoa and more. Kids Fisheree, sponsored by A-F Lions, starts at 1 PM.
