Adams County Extension Office has received a grant for the Roadmaps to Health program to focus on creating a culture of health for all residents. The Coalition overseeing the grant is looking for information from Adams County employers about activities that are currently in place to promote nutritious eating or healthy lifestyle choices. Friday, June 12 - United Way of Inner Wisconsin will be giving away FREE children's books during the 6th Annual Great Book Giveaway at11:00am at Burt Morris Park, West Park Street - Adams (prior to the free summer lunch program). Volunteers will be reading books to the children who are present, and afterward each child can select books to take home and keep. All children and youth (from ages birth to 12 years), parents, grandparents, caregivers, and day care providers are invited and welcome to attend this free event. Families can come to the event together; and day care providers are invited to come and bring along all the children in their care. The mobile food pantry is open to everyone! Please bring bags or boxes and wagons or a wheeled cart to help carry food. Please do NOT arrive before 3:30 PM so that we can safely dismiss students at the end of the day.
