RAPIDS, WI
– In an effort to build coalitions around its seven strategy areas, United Way
of Inner Wisconsin has created the “Supportive Community Health Services
Roundtable,” which will meet quarterly. The first meeting will be held
Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 2:00pm at River Cities Bank (lower level conference
room).
The
roundtable is an opportunity for agencies and local businesses/organizations
that provide supportive health services to an identified population with a need
come together: to talk about their programs and educate the group about
the resources they provide; discuss issues that are impacting their abilities
to help people; and talk about systemic changes that can help improve the
clients’ quality of life.
“This
is a great opportunity for us to share ideas and build understanding between
the different supportive community health programs in south Wood County,” said
Angie Loucks, the roundtable facilitator and Campaign/Communications
Coordinator at United Way of Inner Wisconsin. “Working together we can
move the needle on local issues and create lasting change in our communities.”
If
your agency, business or organization provides supportive community health
services to a specific population with an identified need, please feel free to
join our roundtable discussion. To reserve your seat at the table, please
RSVP to Angie Loucks at 715-421-0390 or angie@uwiw.org.
