Conquer Your Depression - Juneau County
It’s
been a part of life for Abraham Lincoln, Princess Diana, Robin Williams and
countless others. It’s not stardom, but is
something that your neighbors, co-workers, friends, family members, and perhaps
even you may be living with. It doesn’t
matter if you’re a man, woman, young or old, depression can affect anyone!
Depression
is a serious, treatable illness that influences how you feel, think and
act. Over 20 million Americans are
diagnosed each year - many times it enters the lives of those already dealing
with another disease. Most people who
develop depression do not seek help. However, when treated, 80 percent of cases
are cleared up successfully.
If
you are worried that depression is bringing you down, you have nothing to be
ashamed of. You are certainly not alone
and there is help available locally.
Attend the ‘Conquer Your Depression’ seminar that will be held at Mile
Bluff Medical Center in Mauston on Thursday, January 26 at 7 pm.
Topics to be discussed include:
·
myths surrounding depression and how to challenge them
·
purpose of depression and what it is
·
potential benefits of counseling and medication use
·
how to recognize a depressive episode is coming and what to do
about it
To find out more about this informative
session, call 608-847-1285.
